Flying on a 757 To Hawaii

My husband and I will be going to Oahu in August 2007 and our flights will be on a Boeing 757. I would like to know if the seating has much leg room for someone with bad knees? I could not get the exit seats and now I'm concerned for him with this being such a long flight and the tickets are nonrefundable.

Thanks to everyone!

Check out http://www.seatguru.com/

Select your airline and aircraft type. Then look at your particular seat number to see how they classify it.

Have a wonderful trip to Oahu!!!

Not sure what you mean when you said you couldn't get the exit seats:

sometimes the airline will reserve these for frequent flyers (of a certain level); sometimes they may be reserved for the check-in/gate agents to assign on the day of travel.

It would not hurt to ask when you check in (and even if you have checked in on line Iwould still take the time to go to the check-in counter and ask if this remains extremely important to you) if any of the exit row seats are available.

Which airline are you flying?

At least one airline (United) sometimes offers an upgrade with more legroom for a few more $-).

We are flying US Airways and I bought my tickets on Orbitz because I got them for a good price. I did call the airlines and ask for exit seats but they said they were for frequent flyers first.

lighthouse, depending upon how bad your knees are, FAA regulations would prohibit you from sitting in exit row.

If you don't mind being split up, you can probably swing single bulkhead seats by arriving at the gate early and asking nicely.

For what it is worth, for anyone over 5'6" flying is a miserable event because of the lack of legroom.
