florida's river county

A freind of mine is visiting Florida and she asked me what part of Florida is referred to as "river county". I don't know but was wondering if anyone does? Thanks

The only one I can think of is Indian River County, on the east coast with Vero Beach and Sebastian being the biggest cities in the county.

My guess is your friend means Suwannee County (Suwannee River of Stephen Foster fame).

You also have the St Johns River. It runs along the east coast of the state from south/inland of the Melbourne area to Jacksonville where it empties into the ocean. Its one of the few major rivers that runs from the south to the north.

In addition they also call the Inter coastal Waterway along the east side "Rivers", however they are not.
