Florida Travel Network (FTN)
 

We were scammed into buying a package from Florida Travel Network by the reps of FTN.After paying in excess of $650.00 for the package they want us to pay for everything including hotels, cruises, etc... <BR>Does anybody has suggestions/experience with FTN before and how to handle them. <BR> <BR>Thanks!

What happened to you isn't surprising. There are numerous ongoing scams connected with Florida tourism. The problem stems from pervasive corruption that plagues the entiire State. There are an abundance of Florida travel operations out there looking to make a fast buck off of tourists. They are able to capitalize on the millions spent on annual media blitzes that falsely portray Florida as a safe 'Alice in Wonderland' which Florida clearly is not. In fact, Florida is extremely unsafe for tourists who are typically unable to distinguish which areas to avoid. <BR> <BR>Wish I could give you more specific advice on your problem. Your complaining to the State's Attorney General's Office would probably be a waste of time. The Attorney General Bob Butterworth's home base is Hollywood, Florida, an area riddled with deteriorating hotels and rental apartments and very probably one of the most corrupt areas in the State. To BNT, the previous message, you are wrong. It is the Florida Travel Network and the many Florida scams like it that are putting us on. <BR> <BR>Furthermore, I do not understand your use of the phrase"talking to yourself again". I never talk to myself. Fully identify yourself, sir.
