Florida Keys Wedding
 

My fiance and I are seriously considering having our wedding in the Keys. We are thinking of sometime next year, possibly in May. Does anyone have any experience with any hotels/resorts and weddings that they would be willing to share? It will only be a small wedding with less than 15 people attending. I have checked out some web-sites which say they offer weddings, but am just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this. Thank you.

Went to the keys for our honeymoon last june and while we were there saw someone getting married outside at our hotel. Something to think about is the weather. It is incredibly hot and humid that time of year and if you plan on wearing a pouffy dress, beware! Was married in a church in Colorado that didnt have AC and it was terrible, and that wasnt even with humidity.

There was a similar post yesterday; you might want to search for it.<BR>Early May would be netter than late May, as far as heat and humidity. Early morning would be the best time of day. If you keep in the shade, the heat shouldn't be too bad. Look at the Gardens Hotel; they have a lovely garden area that would handle 15 people for a wedding. many of the nicer B&Bs have nice garden areas. And most are shaded. Don't let the heat and humidity thing scare you off.

Two places come to mind; (1) www.parmersplace.com on Little Tourch Key, & (2) www.asunshinewedding.com which comes highly recommended in Key West.
