Florida Keys
 

I will be spending 3 nights in the Keys. Little Palm Resort seems fabulous but to rich for my blood. What are your 3 favorite resorts in the Keys? Thanks for you input it's appreciated

You should get feedback from people who have stayed at these places.

The Keys are 100 miles long. Did you have a particular area in mind?

I am not that familar with the keys. I do know I want to be able to walk out onto a sandy (not rocky) beach. I would like to be able to see a beautiful sunset. And have a lovely romantic room. I hope someone will be able to come up with the perfect place under $300 a night for next week. Thanks

There are very few beaches you are describing in the keys and none have hotels on them.

Bahia Honda is the best beach in the keys.

The Casa Marina in Key West has its own small beach but since Luxury Resorts took over the property, they are doing major renovations right now.

The Moorings or Casa Morada in Islamorada will be the closest to what you are looking for. They shot the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition at The Moorings one year.

You probably should check out some more information about the keys. Real "resorts" are few and far between. In my mind, a resort insinuates a fair amount of property...maybe a restaurant, tennis court, beach, etc. The keys are 150 miles long, but they're not into resorts. In Key West, the closest thing to a resort is the Casa Marina, but they're undergoing renovations. In Islamorada, the Moorings has lots of land, but no restaurant. We've stayed at the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, but it didn't seem to us like a resort. I'm sure you'll find something to your liking if you just continue looking.

The moorings is completly booked. Does anyone know about Hawk's Cay. Also I am not opposed to staying in a luxurious B&B or small hotel. Any suggestions on this.
