Florida in June?
 

Three ladies in our 50's looking to visit Florida in June. Is the temperature bearable first week of June? Looking for nice, quiet, nontouristy beach front area/property to rent for 4 nights, not far from shopping/restaurants. Love small town/antiques. St. Augustine was one suggestion. Any other suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Click through to "United States", then "Florida" and finally to the city of your choice. Lots of data on temperatures (highs, lows, averages), humidity, precipitation, etc.

FYI -Average daily temperature in June - 79 F.; Average High - 88 F; Average Low - 70 F.; Highest temperature ever recoded in St. Augustine in June - 104 F; Lowest ever recorded - 54 F.

We were in Key West in early June last year. It was hot and humid, but we managed.

It IS summertime, but early. Better in June than July/August. Come on down. St. Augustine is a good choice, there are a lot of others but I need to consider.

It may not be easy to rent for four nights.

My recommendation would depend on where you are flying from since prices and schedules vary wildly between various Florida points and other airports in the US, but St Armand's Key off Sarasota has everything you want and there is a prevailing breeze from the west that helps keep it comfortable. We stayed at a very nice not your average Holiday Inn across the street frm the beach, with spectacular views, and an eay walk to the shops and restaurants of St Armand's Circle.

Sarasota and st Augustine would both be good choices. Sarasota has easy access to several islands like long boat key. You can hire a boat for a 2-3 hour cruise, enjoy some cocktails along with the beautiful views and sunsets. Not sure about antique shopping in either location but hear mt Dora in central FL is good for that which would be maybe 1-1.5 hours from st Augustine.
