Dave,
I know for a fact that it is the Yankee Clipper in Fort Lauderdale since we stayed there. It was an interesting effect. I had one of my kids in the pool and went down to the bar for a look! You certainly wouldn't want to be doing anything personal under the water level in that pool.

Well....phieaglefan...here is something to set the record straight!
Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort
Miami, FL
By Lisa Matte
Star-crossed lovers Ben Sobol and Laura MacNamara , played by Billy Crystal and Lisa Kudrow in the 1999 Warner Bros. comedy, "Analyze This", tried to the tie the knot on the deck of the fantasy swimming pool at Florida's Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort. They're nuptials - umm - didn't go off quite as planned. Still, it's no wonder the producers of the romantic comedy elected to film the grand wedding scene at the Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort. The hotel had just completed a $52 million renovation that included the construction of a $12 million water fantasy complex complete with multiple waterfalls, picturesque walkways, and a playfully adventurous water slide.

Ok...I gotcha. I can definitely verify that the outdoor area is the Sheraton Bal Harbour, but I can't verify the inside.
I'll be going to the Sheraton next month and i'll let you know my findings.
Anyway, Analize this is an awesome movie!

My guess: the underwater scene is shot at the Yankee Clipper in Fort Lauderdale, the outdoor shots are from the Bal Harbour. Good exposure for both Sheratons. I know that bar at the Yankee Clipper. It has been used in several movies including "the Right Stuff".
Analyze This is a funny movie which we have on DVD. Will check credits to see if both hotels are mentioned. LMF

Umm, when the television show Spenser was being filmed in Boston, locals would see Spenser go into a building in one part of town and exit later to a street in another part of town. Moviemakers often concatenate places and buildings.

From movie-locatins.com, which is the bible of such things:
"The nautically-themed bar, with its tank of mermaids, to which Sobel is summoned by Vitti, is the Wreck Bar at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, 1140 Seabreeze Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, the real bar isn’t quite as wonderfully kitsch – most of the OTT décor is courtesy of the film’s art department – though you can see the mermaids."
Atomic Tickets, I'm not sure why you brought this post up after 9 years only to give the wrong answer. Yes, it was the "Wreck" bar, but the one at the Sheraton in Ft. Lauderdale, not the one at the old Castaways!
