Florida high-season - When is it?

When exactly is high season next year in Florida for tourists. We are planning a trip at the end of March, but can avoid our planned dates if 28 March - 14 April is going to be full of Easter vacationers and/or spring breakers.

Please could someone post the dates of high season around this time.

To the best of my knowledge high season is from Christmas to May 1. We have always gone the last week of April and it is still high season. Rates do not come down until May 1 and a lot of places will not budge on that.

Nigel-I would avoid the middle of March and the week going in to Easter and the week after Easter.

It depends on the area of Florida. The high season in northwest Florida is 1. Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, i.e the summer months, and 2. Sping Break --usually March 1 through Easter weekend. Prices in Northwest Florida generally drop in the Fall, and even more after November 1. Prices are at their lowest in Nw Fla. from November 1 to February 28.
