float trip Moab

Just curious if anyone has info on float trips out of Moab (not whitewater)...we will be there mid-Sept and are interested in a pm/sunset float trip....have found one with a company called Adrift - anyone have experience with them? Thanks for the help!

I always tell everyone headed to Moab to check out www.deserthighlights.com

fantastic experience.

Thanks - that looks great much not so much what I was looking for - we will be hiking both mornings we are there so I am more interested in less active options. Will keep it in mind in case we go back with a looser schedule one day.

We have a favorite B&B in Moab, Cali Cochitta, and on their website Kim and David have some links to local places they are familiar with -- adrift is on there as are others:

I think most of the white water trips wind down about the end of July. I would think it would be fairly calm water anywhere.

Canyonlands By Day and Night has been around for a long time. Adrift and Sherri Griffith are good. Moab Adventure Center is basically the middleman for several companies I believe.

I looked at Adrift website and it seems that their half day trips are to Fisher Towers. The river goes pretty much by the road during that section, so it is possible to drive and see almost the exact same thing.

Thanks for the help! Haven't decided what we will do yet but I now have places to start.

A couple of years ago we went with Tag-A-Long Expeditions out of Moab. Check out their web site.

We "tagged a long" when they went down the river (50 miles) to pick up rafters that had been doing there own thing for a week. We had a great time! We stopped just before the "white water" started.
