Float Plane from Seattle to BC?

We are looking into doing the float plane from Seattle harbor to Vancouver or Victoria harbor (prob Kenmore air). Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this service (good or bad). I've never done a float plane before- sounds cool. Im not a nervous flyer but am slightly concerned about small/plane /safety etc. This seems to be an established company- just curious if anyone has used them before? Thanks!

Kenmore is the premiere seaplane operation in the northwest. They will pick you up on Lake Union, not the Seattle waterfront, and fly you to Victoria's inner harbor. They've been in business for decades (I got my seaplane rating in 1963 and they were long established at that time).

Remember that airplane accidents make news because they happen so infrequently. A gear-up landing with no injuries will show up on CNN while multiple-car accidents are so common they don't even make the papers.

I have not flown that route, but we did take a float plane ride once in BC and loved it!!! As Bob mentioned, Kenmore has an excellent reputation. I would not hesitate at all. Go and enjoy!

I've flown on Kenmore a number of times, both between Seattle and Victoria and Seattle and the San Juans (they don't fly to Vancouver). I'm nervous about small planes but the scenery is so great I tend to forget my nervousness. It's a great way to go.

I have done it and LOVED the experience. So easy to depart from Lake Union or the Harbor in Victoria - in fact, I am going to Victoria in Oct - may look into doing that again.

I know Kenmore has internet specials at times , haven't looked at website recently and as I recall, the specials were a little hard to find, so look for them.

A coworker with a family home in the San Juans uses it regularly. It's expensive but besides that I think it's a great way to go.
