flea markets in NYC

I just searched for "flea markets in NYC" and the latest posts were dated 2001. It sounded like the best options were the Chelsea market on 6th Ave and 25th St. and one on Columbus Ave at 77th St., both operating on Sundays. Are these still active? Any new ones to check out?

The market on 6th is gone and buildings up in their place but there is one off 6th from 25th to 26th just to east of 6th, you'll see it as you walk east.

The other one in that area is called The Garage, and that is on 24th to 25th between 6th and 7th. It's 2 levels and usually packed on Saturday AND Sunday.

77th and Columbus runs all year long in and outdoors in the school yard of a public school and inside the lower level.

Also on Saturday and Sunday in Manhattan and now in some of the other boroughs, are street fairs, some of which will have "antiques" and LOTS of interesting things to see, and good people watching too, lol. You can find those by the companies Mardi Gras and Clearview (www.clearviewfestival.com).

If you are intown over the 4th of July, there is one on 145th St and Broadway, the first one EVER uptown, and since I'm planning it, I know it's going to be fun, rides for the kids, lots of food and some surprises. If you are here on Saturday July 3rd, the fair runs from 11am to 6pm. THe fair is a benefit for the Hamilton Heights Business Association.

Hells Kitchen Flea Market is very interesting - not too far from times Square. I have walked there with my teenage grand daughter who isn't a walker

This is one of the hottest market scenes in the city right now. it is not a flea market but there are lots of vintage, and new, items for sale:
