Does anyone know the status of the construction at the Flamingo Hilton on the strip.

I was just in Vegas over the weekend and went into the Flamingo to gamble for a bit. I did not notice any construction in the main areas...maybe they are renovating certain room areas?

The location of the hotel can't be beat but if you do choose to stay there, make sure you book one of their "GO" rooms. They are actually quite nice and fun with flat screen TVs and even a TV in the bathroom. Do not stay in an old room!

Just FYI, it hasn't been a Hilton property for years....just in case you were trying to use Hilton points or something, and couldn't find it listed...

Is it possible you are thinking about the time-share construction under Flamingo name that is in back of hotel?

I too stayed at the Flamingo recently. As milemarker0 says it is no longer a Hilton property, but part of the Harrah's family and is known as the Flamingo Las Vegas. I had a basic room and it was adequate, not as exciting as a GO room. The location is very central which is the reason I chose it. I noticed No construction going on at all. It all went quite smooth there.

The Hilton Grand Vacation Club at The Flamingo is behind the hotel/casino and the only construction taking place when I was there in Sept. was the renovation of the condos. I was told that if you were on the floor directly above or below the floor being worked on(they are doing a whole floor at a time) the noise started pretty early in the morning.

Sorry my question wasn't specific enough. We are staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club at the Flamingo in a timeshare unit. We were told the units were being renovated and they would be completed before we arrive in May. We were wondering if anyone knew what the construction status was for them.

We are staying there in three weeks, I'll report back on it when we get home!
