Flamenco in Santa Fe
Do you recommend going to see Flamenco while in Santa Fe? If so, which venue would you suggest?

I have not been to their Flamenco show but I have been to many other music shows at El Farol. They have a Flamenco show on Saturday nights starting at 8 p.m.. If I was going to go, that is the one I would go to, as I have heard things about it and I like the venue very much.

Also if you are looking for music performance at dinner or while you drink, we have really enjoyed Vanessie and the Cantina at La Casa Sena on multiple visits in the last several yrs.

thanks so much. Friends mentioned La Cantina and La Casa Sena. I see the singing starts at 6pm and it's impossible to get a 6pm reservation. Do you know how long the singing lasts?

I am not sure, but I think we were there til around 9 pm.
Just call and ask them. BTW, the wine shop in the same courtyard as Casa Sena if VERY good. It is owned by Casa Sena and they have a very good and very reasonable selection in there. |
Thanks emd3. We love good wine and always have our own happy hour before going out to dinner. We'll check it out.

There are several great flamenco experiences to choose from. The Juan Siddi Theatre Company is a great place to start. Hope you enjoy your visit!

El Mesón is a Spanish restaurant that has/had flamenco on Tuesday nights in the bar. I know they have live music on the weekends as well. If you can catch the flamenco guitarist you will be in for a treat. It's located just a block off of the plaza at Marcy St & Washington.

I just checked El Mesón's website and Tuesday nights is now Tango dancing from 7:30 to 11pm.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:10 PM. |
