Flagstaff hotel
Has anyone stayed at the
Best Western Pony Soldier hotel in Flagstaff? |
I haven't stayed at the Pony Soldier because I don't especially like its location.
|
Is that the one by the train tracks? Enough said if it is.

We made res. at Little America, then got a better deal at the Radisson- looked more upscale, too.
The diff. was $104 vs. $84 @ Rad. but it looked like a better hotel., esp. for 3 days. No one has ever mentioned Inn Suites hotels, they are a great deal- Suite rooms w/ kitchens- cont. b'fast & happy hour included. It looks like they remodel older hotels and have one suite that used to be 2 rooms- when we stayed it was very clean. |
The Pony Soldier isn't too near the railroad tracks, but it's on the east side of Flagstaff and I really prefer the west side. Radisson Woodlands is in a very nice location and probably among the best hotels in town.

Was just in Flagstaff and stayed at the Comfort Inn. Nice place, room very clean and pleasant with a window that opens--YEA!!! Love that. Set in the pines. Nice pool area with shade and hot tub. Decent lobby and continental breakfast. Good price. QUIET location. Walk to several restaurants. Good choice.

We stayed at the Radisson Woodlands in May. Got it for around $40 on Priceline. Very nice place on Route 66 just west of the center of downtown.

Little America is a great place to stay, especially for an extended period. Don't let the truck stop out front fool you! It's really very nice, with hiking/running trails, swimming pool, volleyball, horseshoe pits and beautiful landscsaping all on the grounds. We stayed there in May both sides of a trip to the canyon.
