Fla Turnpike vs. Interstate 95

I will be in Kissimmee next week for spring break with my family and we would like to drive south to Deerfield Beach. How is the Florida Turnpike? Or should I drive East over to 95? Any major construction headaches on either of these roads?

Anything is preferable to driving I-95. Take quarters for the turnpike and it is very much worth the extra couple of dollars.

Take the Turnpike to Fort Pierce and then hop onto I-95 if you want to save some dollars. Otherwise, the Turnpike is much nicer and the traffic isn't nearly as bad.

I live in Ft. Lauderdale and I take the Turnpike to Orlando/Kissimmee

Definitely take the Turnpike! 95 through Fla. is one of the most frustrating stretches of highway we have driven on.

Most definitely the Turnpike!

Yes the turnpike-no matter what.

The toll will be more than a couple of quarters (the better part of a $10 bill) but worth every bit.

While heading to South Florida, it makes sense to get off of 95 and to get on the turnpike in Fort Pierce even if one is only going travel twenty miles south of Fort Pierce. The turnpike is wide and beautiful. Just be weary of morons who still do 90 mph through the toll booths because they have a pass. I understand that they don't have to stop, but how about slowing down and having some respect for those whoe do have to stop.
