(((((((( Fishing Ontario ))))))))
Want to take a fishing trip to Canada sometime before it gets too cold during the days there. Would drive from mid-west and would prefer not to fly-in the first time to a lodge (unless you can recommend a killer spot!) Really don't want to drive too far in if possible. What kind of prices do I have to pay for a good place with guides. I can drag a boat rig up there if needed. I would prefer not to though. I'd love to hear about your favorite spots!!!

go to toronto, drive to haliburton, temagami, algonquin park et., et. advice from a local. |
If you're looking for more info on Temagami, or want to make local contacts for information, try visiting www.temagamivacation.com, Experience a Temagami Vacation, where you can find articles about the area and a discussion forum. Hope this helps, Temagami is a beautiful place to visit, and the fishing can be great!

It's already getting pretty cool in Ontario.
If you asked your question in a forum about Canada instead of one about the USA, you might get more useful information. Prices vary depending on the standard of accomodation, and how badly you need a guide, and what kind of boat you want. Salmon fishing on Lake Ontario costs more than being out in a 14 footer in northern Ontario. BAK |
Scott posted this question more than SEVEN years ago so it is possible he already found the right place and guides.

I am really curious as to how on earth a 7 yr old post ends up here! :) Looks like Iglooman topped it so I wonder if you cld tell me where & how you found this post. (preferably today & not 7 years fm now! :) :))
|
Hmm, Iglooman has never posted before. Iglooman's only comment is written in marketing brochure vernacular. The cynic in me would say Iglooman topped a post that fit his business needs. Nah, someone would NEVER do that on Fodors.

...but... how did he find it to begin w/...search "fishing in Ontario"?????
|
but what's up with the ((((((((...))))))))?
|
He probably searched on Temagami
Keith |
<o((((((>>>> maybe he was trying to make a fish? I tried, but as you can see, sigh~
|
About cynicism ... I had the same thought.
But if someone was trying to promote tourism in Temagami, it sure is a bad time of the year to do this. Anyway, it's a nice part of the world in which to go fishing, but for anyone reading this and thinking of going fishing, wait until next spring. BAK |
Scarlett, that is an AMAZING fish. I'm impressed with your computer/artistic talent. Can you do a penguin? I have a particular fondness for penguins.
|
And kitties. Can you do a kitty too?
