Fishing in Northwest Florida

We're going to Cedar Key and would appreciate any information about fishing in Cedar Key or nearby areas, perhaps Appalachicola. Thanks in advance.

Pat: go to www.floridasportsman.com and visit the forum section, there are discussion groups devoted to each section of Florida- you could just eavesdrop or register and ask your question there, I am sure you'd get all the info you want and more....

Are you using your own boat or a charter? Fishing from Apalachicola to Steinhatchee to Ceday Key can be quite excellent and exciting. What month were you planning? Some of my fondest memories were in this area catching king/spanish mackerel, amberjack, grouper, and others.

Thanks, Ramjet. We are going the second week of December and will charter a boat. Thanks for any additional info.
