I have read that the Park Service was thinking about placing an wier on Bright Angel Creek to keep the non-native trout from coming up the creek.

Anyone have any information on the plan?

I've got a link below with more info. In summary, the park service is going to remove rainbow and brown trout from BA Creek for 5 years during spawning season (October-January) using a weir and electrofishing and dip netting in conjunction with the weir. The initial removal will focus on brown trout, and the park service will consult with the state before removing rainbow trout.
