I like emalloy's plan. You can find natural beauty and scenic in each of your locations.

Any thing towards Natural beauty and scenic<<

The choices are almost too varied to describe. It would really help if you settled on an itinerary and maybe decided which type of scenic beauty you are looking for. Seashore? Mountains? Lakes?

If you're going to Niagara Falls, then the Finger Lakes region of New York might be a consideration, and part of your itinerary driving from NF to New York City.

If you have time, drive down the East Coast on US 17. Lots to see, including Annapolis, the Maryland Eastern Shore, the Outer Banks, Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA and the Sea Islands, Ga. Then the islands on the east coast of Florida. I've omitted the historic things.

You might get your cousin to fly to New Orleans and meet you there or somewhere along the Florida Panhandle.

You should start your own thread with your specific questions so people will notice it. If possible list the states you are interested in.

Good idea for Sarahava and not a bad idea for the OP since we now have little idea about what he considers to be necessary or to be seen.

Dwdvagamundo thanks for those suggestions, would certainly be looking into them and get some more details

And also the Finger lakes

As someone asked , am more interested in Natural scenic beauty of Mountains & lakes

Sara has been posting a few months - seems she just wants to 'participate' and throws in comments every now and then. (per he profile she is from Detroit but who knows)

If you do visit the Outer Banks (great place by the way) here is something you might be interested in if the timing is right:

The Outer Banks is a different part of the coast than Chincoteague.
