If you are in the San Antonio area, don't forget to visit the nearby town of Bandera, "Cowboy Capitol of the World." :)

I'll thrown my two cents in for San Antonio, too. While not a small town, it definitely isn't (imo) a big, bustling city like, say, Dallas or Houston.

The River Walk is so fun, even after several visits. In March, me and my mom and one of my younger cousins took a weekend trip down and had a great time.

One of the things we did that I'd highly suggest is the missions trail. Not just the Alamo but there are a handful of others, that is, if you like history and such.

Otherwise F-burg might be a nice, cozy excursion. Haven't been yet but heard great things about it.
