All good questions - all asked a thousand times, with a thousand different answers :-)

I've only been to Vegas twice, but it seems to me all the hotels on the strip are nice. I've eaten at four different buffets, and all have their pluses and minuses. I didn't have time for the pools, but I stayed at the Luxor (south end of the Strip), at it seemed to have a nice pool.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I think you'll have a good time at any of the hotels.

Mike Honeycutt

Choices abound. Try MGM -the rooms in the grand tower are larger, and if cost is a factor for you, it'll sleep two on the floor better than most other strip hotels.. The pool area there is also rated one of the best..Also, you might try Bally's. Rooms there too, are generally larger. The pool area however, is only average. Hard Rock, off strip, offers a "younger crowd" venue. Buffets. - You'll get some considerable input on this topic, but for my two cents, on a reasonable budget, go with MGM, Luxor, or Flamingo. A bit more classy, is the Aladdin (one of the best in Vegas), Mirage (although not one of my recommendations), and Paris...

4 single guys - stay away from MGM, Treasure Island, or any of those other "child magnets". Mirage has a nice pool area, so does the Mandalay Bay. I'm not fond of buffets, but go to Gilley's in the Frontier - they serve up some good Western style food, like chicken-fried steak, and very reasonable. If you have a car & can leave town for breakfast, go to Egg & I on Sahara. Mandalay Bay serves a good breakfast, too.

stay at the palms or hardrock - both have great pools and good "sights" - both have a younger crowd 21-35. palms has taken over as the "hot spot" for the "hip" crowd. i also hear the mandalay bay pool is very good and caesars pool is nice but i havent been to either

buffets - caesars and bellagio are great but if u can get it compd at palms while ur gambling even better
I agree that hard rock, and mandalay bay ,are perfect for u guys,,man bay has an awsome wave pool but is far away from center strip..the rock is also off strip, but if u rent a car these should not be a deterent...have fun, wish i were going

Mandalay Bay is where I always stay. I think they have the best pool, best breakfast buffet and the casino is awesome. As is the Sports book area. Don't bother renting a car. Every place is a short cab ride away. Ballys prob has a better location....Avoid the kid places...MGM is too damn big....Hard Rock is fun for the younger crowd but well off the strip. Bottom Line: Mandalay Bay!
