I agree. And I do think it may have something to do with the new upgraded format? If they managed to make these forums even more tightly connected to a Google search, that would make sense why soooo many old threads are all of a sudden are being topped in the past week or so.

Which is why many of us use Fodor's and not TA. Closing threads after 6 months is not a good thing especially for trip reports.

Why don't you just look at the date yourself before scrolling all the way to the bottom. I like it left open. I have found many of the comments very useful from years back, and I have even had some questions that were answered.

But, I do agree with you about this particular post. For starters, it's not even on the right Forum. And I don't think this one should have been rekindled.
