First time to islands

We were planning 1st island vacation and are considering 7 days each on Maui and Kaui. Do you think we made a good choice of islands? Any suggestions welcomed. Planning on Sheraton for both islands.

((Y))((Y)) to your choice of ((o))& islands!!!

However, since you're going for 14 days you might consider spending a couple days ((o)) on the Big Island for a chance to see an active volcano, or alternatively visit the B.I. on a future visit.:S-

If you got 2 weeks, and your flying into honolulu, you might consider a couple days there, either before or after Maui and Kauai. Yes Oahu is a large crowded city, but the Arizona memorial is a must see! Also the shopping is hands down the best in Hawaii.

The Sheraton on Maui is very nice. I was extremely disapointed in the Kauai Sheraton. Stay at the Hyatt if you can. When we went last year the price was about the same, but the Hyatt was doing construction so I picked the Sherton....big mistake. The pool was small and the standard rooms looked no different than a BW. We tried to switch but no rooms at Hyatt. Then I complained and got an ocean view room, which eased the pain some.

I would try to at least see Pearl Harbor as it is such an important part of not just our history but world history as well. I also agree about spending some time on the BI. We were there some weeks ago for 10 days and would recommend it for its uniqueness. Aloha! Larry. PS I wanna go back. :S-
