First Time in Vegas. Few Questions

Hi and Hello,

I will be going to Vegas for first time for honeymoon from October 11 to October 15. I've done lots of research for hotels on or walking distance to the strip and so far the Signature at MGM stands out the most. Most important for us is we want a jacuzzi/spa/whirlpool in the hotel room. Here are my questions.

Is the jacuzzi at the Signature at MGM big enough for 2 people? If not, what other hotels provide same room jacuzzi/spa/whirlpool big enough to fit 2 people?

Looking at Vegas map, Signature "seems" to be close to the McCarran Airport. Is it worth it to spend $122.00 for limo ride to the Signature?

Thanks for your replies and your time.

Limo ride? A taxi should suffice. Better yet, the MGM should have a free shuttle to pick you up at the airport. Save the $$ for a dinner splurge--it'll be more memorable.

There are tons of limos parked at the airport waiting for you... we paid $40, but its only a 10 minute ride...

The airport is very close to the Strip, take the cheapest transportation for all of 10 minutes to get to MGM. Good point above to see what MGM provides for transfers.

Bring comfy walking shoes! The hotels are huge and you will WALK a lot.

Can't comment on the MGM because I have never stayed there but but the Palace Tower and Augustus Tower rooms at Caesars Palace also have jacuzzi tubs that fit two people.

"Is it worth it to spend $122.00 for limo ride to the Signature?"

For whose purposes yours or to show off for the doorman/strangers who see you get out?

McCarran Airport is about 10 minutes from the MGM and less than 3 miles. It's your money but $41 a mile seems a bit much to me. I'd think you'd be far better off saving your money and using on a good bottle of wine with dinner or a couples massage at the spa. But, it's your money if that's how you want to spend it, then by all means.

A taxi shouldn't be more than $15.

Get a rental car at the airport. It's your honeymoon, you want to see more than hotels and pools. Take a drive out to Red Rock Canyon, out around Lake Mead, or out to Valley of Fire. Go to Zion National Park or to the Grand Canyon for an overnighter. Do something you're going to remember forever.

All the hotels have free parking. There is no such thing as "walking distance to the strip". The strip is 3 miles long. Plus all the miles you walk as you enter each vast casino and look around.

www.cheapovegas.com has great reviews of each hotel, restaurants, casinos, etc.

I have yet to find a Vegas Strip property with an airport shuttle unless you are such a big player that the casino sends a limo and casino host for you. (Needless to say, that's not me!) I just walk out to the Bell Trans booth outside baggage claim and buy a ticket. I think it is $18-20. lately, I have been renting cars, and that honestly is a lot better. Look online and find a good deal. It saves SO much walking!! The car also allows you to go places outside the Strip. We LOVE the shopping center south of the Strip that has the Tommy Bahama Cafe in it. YUM!

My husband has stayed at MGM Signature before, and yes, it is way in the back and is a long walk to the Strip. He did say the rooms were really nice. Caesar's Palace and Augustus Towers also have jacuzzi tubs.
