First time in Hawaii

I'm planning our June trip for daughter and I, after careful consideration, I'm thinking Hawaii instead our yearly Italy-Spain.

I found a nice condo in Maui for 4 weeks, but I keep reading we need to split the time on at least 2 islands to be able to see most of it in June.
What would be the best places to stay? Is June a good month weather like?

Thanks
P

Yes, June is a good month, weather-wise.

With a month, you will need to decide what is important you. Certainly you could spend the whole month on Maui - Maui has lots of variety in terns of scenery - but you could also visit one or two other islands and not feel rushed. Do take a look at some guidebooks and decide what appeals to you, I've spent a goodly amount of time on Oahu and Maui, but now we only go to Kauai, our favorite. We spend a month on Kauai every year.

Where on Maui is the condo you are considering?

If this is your first trip to Hawaii, and since you have four weeks, I would suggest splitting your time between two islands. My personal favorite is Kauai, but it could be Maui and any other.

What do you and your daughter want to do/see? I love the big Island, it has the active volcano and is more laid back than some others. For a first visit, I also would want to spend a couple of days on Oahu, visit the Arizona memorial, do a loop around the island, etc.

All of the islands have different things to offer. Figure out what you like to do first~hiking? museums? fine dining? snorkeling? surf lessons? Nature? Then either look at guide books or google the activities you like with the island (example: kaying and hiking Kaui).

I'm envious that you get to spend four weeks!! :)

Hi,
We are beach bums. We've been traveling so much on the last summers, that I thought about laying low and enjoying the water.
We love water, long walks on the water and sunsets, so it has to be on the west side of the islands.
The condo I thought about renting is close to Wailea Beach in Maui.

The Wailea Beach area is my favorite area of Maui.

Enjoy your Hawaii time, no matter what you decide to do!

There is zero reason you HAVE to change islands. If you have a good 4-week rental in Maui... just do that! That would be heaven imo!!! aloha, suze
