Finger Lakes itineray suggestions?

I am going to spend a week in late May in Ithaca, Geneva, and Watkins Glen...any suggestions for an older , walking limited, woman. I like history and nature. I'll be two night in each area. I'm an experienced solo traveler.

Are you driving your own car or a rental? Where are you coming from?
The Women's Hall of Fame is near Seneca Falls. There is a great Doll Museum (Strong) in Rochester. There are many wineries in the Finger Lakes if that interests you.
Take a boat ride out of Geneva.
My first introduction to Watkins Glen is when the United Stats Grand Prix was run there in the 50's and 60's. I did walk the track once (3.2 miles). There are nice waterfalls at the nearby State Park.

You might want to explore the historic architecture, for example search out the Camillus (Lake Onanadaga) and Black Sheep Inn (Hammondsport, Lake Kueka)octagon houses, myriad beautiful cobblestones (lots of those), even old lighthouses (Cayuga and Onondaga Lakes). Of course, wineries are all over, and lunch overlooking a lake and/or vineyard is sublime (http://www.fingerlakes.org/things-to-do/dining). Belhurst Castle (http://www.belhurst.com/) is fun, and Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion(Canandaigua) is worth a visit.

Thanks,

I already have the Women's Hall of Fame on my list and although the Doll Museum sounds good, I'm not going to be in Rochester. I'd like to get out on the water, so will check out a boat ride.

The Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansions...I hadn't seen anything on that before and doesn't look very far from Geneva...and will take a look at your other suggestions, sylvia3.

When you are in Geneva, the drive east along rt 20 is very scenic... Across the top of the lakes and then head south along another lake...
