Finger Lakes
our family will be coming back to Penna. from niagra falls and we would like to stop at the Finger lakes on the way back.Does anyone have a suggestion? Also what are the best sites to see? Thank you.You are all wonderful

Niagara, not Niagra.

Re:Finger Lakes, it's mostly a matter of the small towns that sit on their shores -- lots of antiquing. Watkins Glen is a landmark if you're into autoracing. And of course, Ithaca has both Cornell and Ithaca College.

I am originally from that area. The wineries are also good spots to visit. We especially enjoy Wagner's on the west side of Seneca Lake. A walk down the gorge in Watkins Glen State Park is always good family fun, if the weather is good. The path is paved and includes many uneven stone steps. I would definitely suggest parking at the top, walking down, and then taking a taxi back to the top.

Many years ago, we took the Cayuga Wine Trail and ended up in Ithaca which is at the southern end of the lake. We also stopped at the Misty Morning Pig Farm and got to see lots of little white piglets...believe it or not, there were lots of tourists and the kids had a great time touching and holding the piglets...I dont' know if it's still there, but it was a hoot.
Several good wineries along the way for the adults and we ended staying at a wonderful place called L'Auberge that had a fabulous scenice view of Ithaca....
