Fine dining with a view in Honolulu

Hi all. My husband and I are going to Oahu in September for our anniversary. We'll be staying in Ko Olina, but want to have at least one really nice dinner in Waikiki. Can anyone recommend a restaurant with good food (preferably steak/seafood), good service and a knock-out view? We aren't huge fans of French food, so La Mer is out of the running. I have been looking at the Hanohano Room. Any recent comments on it? Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks!

Our favorite restaurant is Orchids, which is under La Mer at the Halekulani Hotel. Beautiful view of the ocean and Diamond Head, and great seafood. The setting is elegant, but a coat and tie are not required.

My husband and I enjoyed the 0utrigger Waikiki, Duke's Canoe Club. We ate there for lunch and dinner. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Hawaiian music and that gorgeous sunset.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Hanohano Room for a knock out view. I also like Michel's (in the Colony Surf Hotel).
