Financial District, Wall Street, So Ho

What are best things to do and see in Financial District, Wall Street, and So Ho area. (only half day to spend on Monday).
Thank you.

Top on the list should be a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge (unless it's an absolutely awful day.) My 7 year old son and I made it across in about 25 minutes. Some of the old churches in the area, like Trinity Church at Broadway & Wall are interesting as many of them were the epicenter of colonial NY.

The South Street Seaport is ok. Personally, I think it is expensive and overrated to see boats of no real historical significance.

Assuming you don't mean tomorrow, a tour of the Federal Reserve is supposed to be terrific but requires booking in advance.

The World Financial Center is beautiful with the tribute to the Amex employees lost on 9/11, usually an interesting art exhibit and sometimes live music.

The Irish Hunger Memorial, St. Paul's cathedral, City Hall, the Museum of the American Indians, and Battery Park. Some other ideas here

Good interactive map on the above site.

Me too on the BB crossing.

Also take the ferry to SI and back. Very scenic and cheap.

A walk over the Brooklyn Bridge is great. If you don't want to walk over and back get the subway across to Brooklyn and walk back to downtown. The view is great.

Trinity Church just near Wall St. and definately St Pauls near the WTC site on Broadway. The 9/11 exhibition is just amazing.

Also the memorial of the Vietnam war veterans in South Street is really moving - extracts from letters home from soldiers over in Vietnam.

Personally I found South Street Seaport a bit of a waste of time for me but I found the streets heading back into downtown quite interesting.

Well, though you asked about Lower Manhattan, if you're going to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge you at least have to visit the Brooklyn Promenade. The views of the city are gorgeous, and it's a beautiful neighborhood as well.

The views from the pier, next to Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, are beautiful as well.

The charm of Soho are the galleries, the now expensive stores, and the cast iron buildings.

If you can, do not go weekends, the streets become extremely crowded.
