Few questions about Oahu schedule

I am working on my iternary for Oahu. I was wondering if it was a bad idea to schedule Hanauma Bay(early) and Diamond Head (evening around 4) in the same day? Also If doing Pearl Harbor in the morning and Polynesian culture center after on another day. Also, Is creations at the Sheraton princess Kaiulani a good show? Where is Manoa falls?

Thanks,
Smilesfromga

smiles, you can probably do Diamond Head early...as soon as it opens....that way it won't be too hot.

Then, stop by Leonard's for malasadas and coffee and on out to Hanauma Bay and still be there early enough to beat the crowds.

Don't know about the logistics with Pearl Harbor and PCC.

Have fun....you in Georgia, USA?

Here's a link for all the trails. If driving to Manoa Falls you'll want to pay special attention to the warning about parking there.

http://www.backyardoahu.com/

From Waikiki to Manoa Falls: Take McCully Street out of Waikiki toward the mountains. Turn right onto Kapiolani Blvd. Turn left onto University and drive through the University of Hawaii campus. Turn right onto Manoa Road. This will dead end at the trail head.

A little correction to the above:

As you go by UH, you will be on University Ave. about 1/2 mile later, the road will do a jog and there will be a big tree and a stoplightand you will cross East Manoa Road. Do NOT turn here. Go straight and you will now be on Oahu Ave. At the next stop sign, veer slightly right/straight onto Manoa Road. Stay on this street as it gets smaller and curvier.
You'll pass a concrete structure and parking lot once you are in the jungle-y section. The trail head is just up the next rise in the road. Don't leave valuables in the car here.

I agree with iceeu2 especially about the malasadas may not even need the coffee but must have the malasadas.

You could do USS Arizona Memorial & Polynesian Cultural Center in one day. But, it would be a long day.

You can do Hanauma Bay & Diamond Head as you suggested or as iceeu2 suggested. Just don't hike Diamond Head in the middle of the day. It can be hot & there is no shade.

You cannot park at the Manoa Falls trailhead anymore. The only alternative is the pay ($5) lower lot at nearby Treetops Restaurant. Don't park in the upper lot unless you plan to eat there. They will tow your car.

You can also park at Lyon Arboretum & stroll through there as well.

Creation: A Polynesian Journey is a great show. They have the best dancers on Oahu. 'Horizons' at PCC is the best Oahu show because it is so huge. But Creation runs a close second.
