Fetzer Winery, Garden, and B&B

I'd appreciate hearing from folks with some experience with this Hopland winery. Thanks.

I have been there, I am not sure what you are asking. Please post again.

Jay,

My husband and I made a spur of the moment but brief stop at the winery several years ago on a trip from the north coast to the SF area. We were looking for a specific wine for the year we were married. As it turned out, there was none available (bad year for grapes, it turns out), but we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. We didn't take the tour, but it looks like a nice place. Not much in the way of answering your question, I know, but just wanted to give you that info. Hopefully others will be more helpful.

Thanks, Tory.

Gail: I'm asking for feedback from folks with some experience with Fetzer.

My wife and I are planning next year's vacation. It seemed to me that the combination of winery and B&B was a natural. The Fetzer web site certainly made the location sound appealing, but it is, after all, advertisement. When I did a search here I was surprised at how few references there were to this winery.

So, the question remains. Would this be a good place to start our vacation, or would we be better off staying as some B&B further south?

Thanks again ...
I was thinking of Brutaco in Hopland when I saw your first post, so while I don't know the Fetzer facility, I have been to Hopland quite a few times. Hopland is really a blink of an eye scattering of places on 101. They are interesting, Cheesecake Lady, Hopland Brewery, Blubird Cafe, Real Goods Trading (Alternative Energy), I would choose Healdsburg in a minute. There are more B&B's, places to dine, etc. in Healdsburg. After looking at the Fetzer site, it looks like Fetzer would be a very nice place to get away from it all! You can't go wrong. Have a wonderful trip!
