Fess Parker Wine Country Inn

Has anyone ever stayed at the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos? If so, how was your experience? The restaurant? Services at Spa Vigne at the inn? Any comments would be appreciated!

I've never stayed there, but my boss stayed there last month and LOVED it! He came back raving about it. Urged me to encourage anyone to stay there if they were going to that area. So, I couldn't resist replying. Have a great time.

franny: Thanks! We are leaving in about an hour (It is about an hour south of my home). Hubby has to go to Buellton for business tonight, so I decided to make it a 24 hour turn. We booked the weekday spa package. Looking forward to it!

My SO and I went to the spa and got some type of foot treatment and a couples' massage - it was absolutely wonderful. We did not stay there but it looks very nice, though pricey.

So, we are back already! We had a great time. Los Olivos is the perfect little 1-2 day getaway out in the country. Cute downtown with galleries, shops, little cafes, and in the middle of wine country. The drive there is really pretty and relaxing. The staff at the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn were very friendly, professional, and helpful. Overall, the Inn was nice, but in no way "Luxe." Just slightly overpriced, but not outrageous considering you are in an area with extremely high real estate values. At the Inn we had the wine & cheese in the afternoon and the breakfast which came with our room. Pleasant, but nothing to rave about. Would've liked to try the restaurant, but ran out of time. The menu looked good. We did have dinner next door at the Los Olivos Cafe. Very good overall, but had the risotto special which was mushy (not arborio rice). It has an upscale out-in-the country atmosphere. We booked the weekday spa package, so the next morning we had our massages at Fess Parker's Spa Vigne. It was country cottage cute, pleasant atmosphere, and our therapists were friendly, skilled and professional. Since it is only 40 minutes from home, I would definitely go out there for a spa service or package and lunch.
