Feeling Romantic?

What was your most romantic vacation in the continental U.S.? Where did you stay? Which restaurant would you recommend? Valentine's Day is approaching and I may want to take my sweetie somewhere wonderful.

Go to the Poconos and rent a room with a heart shaped bed and bath tub....

First question to ask -- what do YOU consider romantic? For some people, it's lying together at a beach getting a sun tan; my wife and I could not imagine anything we would enjoy LESS.

So before we can answer the question of where to find something, we first need to know what is the something you're looking for.

We took a vacation 2 years ago without the kids and went to Charleston SC. It was very romantic to visit the historic homes and take a carriage ride. We stayed at a B&B in Charleston for 2 nights and then rented a condo on nearby Seabrook Island for a week and laid on the beach and played golf.

Year ago Oct. hubby and I flew into Miami, rented a convertible, drove to Key West and stayed at Pier House for 3 nites, have dinner at American Bar there, then drove back to Miami, played Doral and stayed at Delano for 3 nites- Dinner at Blue Door. Came back ready to face the grind again! Have fun!
