Feedback on NYC itinerary

My hisband and I are going to NYC for a long weekend -- out first time there together. Wondering if anyone could comment on my itinerary. Here it is:

Friday - arrive LGA 2:15, check in at Michelangelo, do the NBC Studio TOur, dinner at 7:45 at Compass

Sat - Subway to Brooklyn (which one??), walk back to see Ground Zero. SHop at Century 21. Lunch at Katz's Deli, Tenement Museum Tour at 1:45, walk through Chinatown. Dinner at Beacon 6 pm, Hairspray at 8.

Sun - Shopping at 26th St Market, ABC Carpet & Home (I'm a decorator), Soho/Noho/Village. Lunch wherever we are when we get hungry (NY pizza?) Dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte 7:30.

Mon - We have tickets for The View for 9:30 am. Is this worthwhile? Will it be redundant having done the NBC tour on Friday?Otherwise, would like to go to Central Park and have brunsh at the Boathouse. Leave from LGA at 2pm.

oops, that's brunch, and we leave FOR the airport at 2 pm, which gives us more time!

The Subway you want for the Brooklyn Bridge is the A or C (blue Dots) get off at the first stop after Manhattan, High St.

RD10: If you are goingMemorial day weekdn, then you are one of a few fodors folks staying at Michelangelo, including us. We are walking the bridge but after Grimaldis are goign to Jacque Torres chocolate factory there.Ever seen Dessert Circus on the Food Network? If you need gifts to bring back, you can get some mouthwatering things there. The store has a website.
Also, be aware that there is a big street festival going on at 7th Ave from 47th to 59th on Sun. (see: www.nycvisit.com; calendar/events part of the site), so just walk to 6th Ave from Micelangelo to get a cab, instead of 7th Ave.
We also have tickets for Tenement on Sat., and Hairspray on Sat. night. Do you think you can make dinner at 6 and the show at 8? I guess Beacon is close to the theater, right? We've been advised not to have a sit down meal before the show on Sat. night- thought we'd grab a bigger lunch in our walking on Sat. and have a light something to eat before the show (then splurge on dessert afterwards!) People here day it's hard to do dinner at 6 and get to the show at 8 on Sat. night.

I meant that people here SAY it is hard (that "d" and "s" are too close together on the keyboard!)

The Boathouse is a wonderful place to end your NYC weekend. My only concern is that they open for brunch at 11:00-11:30 on the weekend, and I think noon M-F. That may not give you enough time to get to the airport for your 2PM flight. (Unless you mean you are leaving Manhattan at 2PM for a later flight.)The phone number is 212-517-2233.

We are actually going the weekend AFTER Memorial Day. Do you think we need earlier reservations for dinner before Hairspray? How about opinions on seeing a taping of The View?

If you are dining in the theater district, 6 p.m. is fine. These restaurants are geared to making sure their patrons make the 8 p.m. curtains.

Why would you want to see the View, unless you are a big fan?

If your plane arrives at LGA at 2:15 and you have luggage, I don't think you will have time, with traffic, to get to the Michelangelo and do the tour, unless your tour is scheduled for 5:30 or 6pm.

What are you going to do in Brooklyn? Or are you going to take it to one stop over the bridge and then walk back? The N/R is right by your hotel and goes to Brooklyn. I also don't see how you are going to fit in all that before the 1:45 pm tour.
