Feedback on 102Brownstone in NYC

Has anyone stayed at this bed and breakfast in NYC? Considering renting a "studio" room for a week stay in May.

If you've stayed at another Bed/Breakfast or rented a studio room in NYC that you could recommend, please let me know. Thanks for your help.

Have no idea where your B & B is, but you might want to look at this website where some other Fodorites have booked this B & B. It's in a lovely area right near Central Park & the museums (Met, Guggenheim, Cooper Hewitt). A room for 3 was evidently about $112/nite including tax.
http://www.stay-the-night.com/accommodations.html

Where is 103?

The address is 102 West 118th street, which I'm not sure exactly where that is . . . I'll check out the other site you mention. Thanks!

ChefToly,

I wouldn't stay at 102 w 112th. It might be ok but not really near anything (maybe Columbia University but I'm not sure). What are you going to do/see in NYC? Would help in picking a location.

Not a very good area to stay in. How much are you paying? If you bid on a hotel room with priceline.com, you can get great deals on top hotels - and they have budget ones too! Unless you are paying under $50/nt, I would not recommend staying there - you can get much better deals elsewhere. Manhattan hotels are at the lowest prices in over 15 yrs.

It's right by Columbia, which is fairly far up the west side of Manhattan. The neighborhood is a little mixed, with poor and wealthier people, lots of students. Parts can be grungy.
