February in Campania...help!

We are going to Naples, Amalfi Coast and surrounding area for two weeks in Feb. Is everything closed? Will we find anything open?

Cicerone Feb 3rd, 2004 08:37 AM

Yes, many restuarants will be closed, as well as some hotels. The ferry to Capri will not be running or will be on a very limited schedule, which doens't matter as basically everything on Capri will be closed.

It will be cold and rainy. You will probably learn to really appreciate the fine museums in Naples.

You might post this on the Europe board for further suggestions and comments.

Europe board? Do you have a website I can go to?

Cicerone Feb 3rd, 2004 08:45 AM

The Europe board is on this same. You need to pick a region before you post. Open the blue box on the left marked "change forum" and pick Europe, then post your message.

You posted this on the United States board.

Got it. Thanks. First time user. I think the weather should be pretty mild compared to here!

Where is here? It's quite warm in AZ.
Italy is great anytime of the year. Campania has the best food IMHO. Naples has a a few very good museums. Sorrento will have more activity than Positano. I went to Italy in February and it was great. Have a wonderful time.
