Favorite things to do in Seattle in 3 days
Going to Seattle in Sept. for 3 days & would like to get some advice on things
to do. 3 Adults traveling together. Looking for some fun night clubs with reggae music or ? Any day trip suggestions. Maybe some destination on a boat. We have visited Seattle before, but it has been awhile. Any opinions on the Four Seasons Hotel ? Thanks |
Argosy Tours has several boat trips in the area - I have done a harbor tour which was interesting, but there are others .
Or take a ferry over to Bainbridge and spend the day - Check into the Teatro Zinzanni - its an evening entertainment including dinner and its held in an antique circus tent - its a cross between Moulon Rouge and Cirque de Soleil - acts going on all the time you are dining- Not familiar with the music scene so can't help you there |
Sunbum1944 ...Good info ...Thanks

Harbor tour is interesting.
Pike Place Market Pioneer Square Fish Ladder and Locks and Lake Union Experience Music museum I think there is a fair amount of stuff you can walk to once you get across to Bainbridge Island For a bit more unusual a float plane tour of the area. I think they take off from Lake Washington. If you've got a car, the ferry from Everett area to Whidbey Island and explore the island (Coupevill, Langley Greenback, etc. You can then take another ferry from Keystone over to Port Townsend, interesting old mansions, historic fort etc. and work your way back to Seattle. |
Thanks ... boom boom

Go to Mt Rainier for a day trip- you can even take a Greyline Tour if you don't want to drive-
Mt Rainier is pretty spectacular There are lots of other Greyline Tours- City Tour, Locks Tour - Boeing tour - if it were me I would choose a Rainier tour |
If you're here over Labor Day weekend, Bumbershoot - ultimate music fix. www.bumbershoot.org
Four Seasons is probably the best hotel in town now. It's the one right in front of the widest shiny building in this picture: http://gardyloo.us/20091226_71c2.JPG For a boat/day trip, it's hard to beat the Whidbey Island loop. Do a search on this board (use Whidbey) - it comes up often. |
Thanks for all your info

For music check the entertainment sections of The Stranger and The Seattle Weekly (free in print or online). See who is playing at Crocodile, Noc Noc, Neumos, Chop Suey, Showbox, Tulas... to name a few possibilities.
For your "boat" experience you can ferry over to Bainbridge Island and back, or maybe an Argosy sound or lake cruise? Sure 4 Seasons is fabulous if you can afford it. Day trips, Snoqualmie Falls or Whidbey Island? |
