try www.epicski.com on its resorts board for more skier input
I've skied Breck several times but we stayed at a bed and breakfast, or we drove over from Vail.

Trails End is a great location that most would consider ski-in/ski-out. To do so requires a bit of poling/walking on ski's if your determined to ski to the back door of the building. We prefer to take off our ski's and then walk over the bridge to the back door. You're talking less than 25 yards.
One thing to remember, if you want to "ski in" as far as you can from the slopes, is that you must have a pretty good amount of speed going on your way back or else you will find yourself poleing and will run out of steam. It's pretty flat the last 100 yards or so.
