Favorite Restaurants in New Orleans.
 

Going to a wedding in July - yes JULY in N.O.! What are some of your favorite restaurants and why do you like it. Have never been so looking for recommendations on places to eat. We like all kinds of food.

On a recent trip, we really enjoyed Cochon, Herbsaint, and Shaya.

We also enjoyed Cochon, although I can't say it was memorable (I don't remember what I ate). Our favorite this last trip was Meril's (Emeril's - shared plates - desserts being the weak link). We also really like L'Revolucion. Food at Balise was very tasty, but waitstaff was terrible. The food at Rebirth was delicious but this time the service was bad from the kitchen - noone was eating, then all of a sudden, everyone was eating (i chalk that up to a bad night in the kitchen).

For breakfast, we really like Willa Jean's although we didn't get there this trip.

Lots of good options here, with reviews. NOLA is rightly considered one of the major food destinations in the US.
