Favorite restaurants in Bar Harbor

Where are some fav. places in Bar Harbor that you like to eat at.

Nothing fancy, just basic, as we are taking our 1 year old.

Geddy's is great for pizza and casual food. Noisy enough that kids are OK.

Avoid Anthony's for italian at all costs. Nice people - but bad food. :(

The pizza we had at Getty's is one of the best pizza I've ever had!

We liked the West Street Cafe. It's very informal, is reasonably priced and has a kid's menu. We passed through BH the last 2 summers and enjoyed eating there both times. There were always families with kids there. See http://www.weststreetcafe.com/

For Thai, the Siam Orchid was great!! I can also recommend Poor Boy's Gourmet. You'll need to make a reservations for Poor Boy's.

The owner of our B&B recommended to a couple staying there, to go to the West Street Cafe. We saw them later and they said it was nothing to write home about.

On a recommendation, we went to the Parkside Restaurant on Main Street for a slice of their warm Blueberry Pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The restaurant had just closed so we had it in the bar area. It was GREAT!!! ((b))
