Favorite Restaurant in SoHo
Any suggestions?? I'll be there next week
You can't go wrong with either Zoe's or Balthazar.
Or Aquagrill for seafood
While doing my research prior to next week's trip, I saw that the French Culinary Institue school operates a restaurant named L'Ecole on Broadway at Grand St in the SoHo area. Guess the patrons are the guinea pigs for their creations. Zagat's rates it as very good for both food and service and they serve a $30 5 course prix fixe dinner. Anyone else know anything about it?

Mercer Kitchen.
I second Aquagrill on Spring Street. The best seafood in the city.
I ate at the French Culinary school.
The service was not good at all and the food was edible at best. I was there on a Friday in July last summer so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. It could have been an off night, but I would not recommend it. |
I charming and very reasonable French Bistro type place is Bistro Les Amis, also I like Country Cafe and Savoy.
here's another one, Provence.
Fiamma!
Mercer Kitchen. Especially for breakfast.

Special favorites for SoHo:
Fiamma- excellent upscale Italian, Mercer Kitchen-more fusion style, GREAT FOOD, Baltazar still good food, Raoul's- more romantic atmosphere. Lunch/brunch: ZOE(on Prince between B'way & Mercer St. Cub Room-on Prince & Sullivan. Have fun. |
