favorite places to return

saw a great post that was somewhat dated. Thought it would be a great idea to start it over again.
What places have you visited that you would return to without question?
What places have you visited that you felt one visit was enough?

Places I would return include:
Canadian Rockies
Cannon Beach, OR
Brugge, Belgium
Rothenburg, Germany
Venice
Glacier NP
Yellowstone NP
ANY Utah NP
Olympic NP
San Juans
Salem, Mass.
Newport, RI
Istanbul
Rhine (needed a couple visits to grow on me)

ONE visit was enough

California (too chaotic to enjoy)
Grand Canyon (incredible but I prefer Zion
and Bryce)
Santa Fe
Amsterdam (prefer smaller Brugge)
Paris
Alaskan cruise (prefer canadian rockies)
Dominican

The fact that once was enough for you in Paris and California would indicate to me that we wouldn't make the same choices.

The ENTIRE STATE of California is too chaotic to enjoy?????
You're only speaking of LA/SD/SF and such.
Have you been to Death Valley, Tahoe area, redwoods parks, Yosemite (off peak) and oodles of other places in this most diverse of all US states????

what do you not like about amsterdam??????!!!!!!! what do you do when you travel anyways, stay in a small 10' x 10' room and hibernate???!!!

Yes I have been to the coast and I just happen to prefer the Oregon coast. I love the Ca. coast, just prefer Oregon. Forgive me for sharing my thoughts. Perhaps this is why you did not share your places that once would be enough. Couldn't take the criticism from others? Maybe you are sooo politically correct and your reply would be "I'd return to every place I've visited".
Could you please begin a travel 101 class to teach me how I can have the SAME opinions you have?
I did not ask for places you hate, only places you felt one visit was enough. FOR ME JERRY - FOR ME XXXX - Paris was great but I PREFER THE COLMARS, BRUGGE, and ROTHERNBURGS! I PREFER THE SMALL OFF TOWNS TO THE BIG CITIES! I'd tell anyone to go to Paris - AT LEAST ONCE, but once was enough for me. IRONICALLY I WILL RETURN TO PARIS because my wife has NEVER been. However, I do not personally feel an overwhelming need to return myself.

X you are a real bright one!!! Have not all of these posts been beaten to death if we go by your criteria?
How many times can you give advice on lodging in SF or the Hawaii?
