Favorite pizza restaurants in Wauwatosa or Milwaukee:

If I recall, Balisterie's?...used to be a local favorite. But have never been there. Looking for good, family friendly place for a spur-of-the-moment meet up with the Chicago grandchildren.

Thanks!

Balistrere's is still their and their is an additional one not to far away -- they still have the best Pizza in Milwaukee in my opinion.

I didn't realize - although there are two Balisteri's...I think the one on 68th is more of a casual pizzeria. We ended up at the 'other' one, Blue Mound Inn on Blue Mound Rd. which is more of a full-service restaurant - tablecloths, waiters who look like they've been doing it for eons; big menu, etc. It's quite the throwback - to the way restaurants USED to be, before chains/themes, etc. I quite liked the retro aspect. But pizza is on the menu - kids had a thin crust and it was quite good. Daughter and I shared a lasagna - large portion; immense salad. All in all, a good experience. It was a little bit pricey, I thought. The Blue Mound location takes reservations; 68th street does not. Hope this is helpful for future pizza-seekers.
