Favorite neighborhood bars in Chicago?
 

Heading back to one of my all time favorite destinations...the Second City. I have my regular stops in mind, but was interested in what fodorites thought were worthy, truly neighborhoos watering holes.

Haven't been there in awhile, but I always loved John Barleycorn's on Lincoln Avenue.

Would add Yak-zees on Diversey (known for being open very late) and Kinkaid's on Armitage to the list. These are both good local hangouts. OIf looking for something with a live band, Lakeview Links (Wilton and Belmont?) or any of the bars aroung Wrigley Field.

The River Shannon on the corner of Hudson and Armatige (?).
