Favorite Dim Sum places in Flushing?

I'm looking for favorite dim sum places in Flushing from the experts here. They don't need to be fancy -- in fact, my experience is usually that they are not -- but would love to find those places with great food. Any favorite dishes also welcome!

Many thanks to all -- and happy/merry whatever you celebrate!

In downtown Flushing, Jade Asian. Parking lot next door, and subway and railroad stops very close.

If you have a car, you might try Lake Pavilion, just off the Long Island Expressway.

Flushing is not really known for great dim sum although those places are good.
You should get there by 11am weekends, as they both get very crowded.

We go to the Grand. Our friends are known there and have had birthdays and baby banquets there at night.

It is on the top floor of a mall.

Many thanks, ekscrunchy & IMDonehere. I was hoping you'd both chime in with suggestions. We hope to go sometime over the holidays.

Interesting, I would've thought Flushing would be popular for dim sum.

Yes, we would think that, but remember that dim sum is Cantonese and the newer immigrants to the NY area are no longer from that region of China. But I think the dim sum places attract diners from all areas....give it a try and let us know how you fare...

You might also look at Sunset Park in Brooklyn but I know very little about that area..

Thanks, ekscrunchy. Interesting point about the Chinese immigrants settling in Flushing.

DH now thinking of going today (Christmas) and just staying in Manhattan (where we live) and going to Triple Eight Palace in Chinatown. It's been a long time, but it's a known quantity. My impression is that there are others that are better, but don't really know which ones. And Chinatown on Christmas day can be crowded as heck!

Sunset Park, on the other hand....

Triple 8's name is considered lucky in Chinese but they were one of the places that did not give the wait staff their tips if they were put on a credit card.

Good to know, IMDonehere. Thanks for that info, much appreciated. If we do go, we will leave tips in cash.

Though the fact of the management doing that leaves a bad taste as well.
