Favorite attractions at DisneyWorld?
 

What are your favorites? What about your kids --especially the 6 year ols (girls). Trying to narrow down some things.

At Disney world...everything is great. I would highly suggest the Haunted Mansion..fun for kids and adults alike. All of their shows are great. I know they will have fun no matter what they do in the park.

Hmmm... let's see. My nieces and nephews at that age have enjoyed Buzz Lightyear, Barnstormer (roller coaster for kids), Peter Pan, Small World (warning: the song will drive you up a wall), and Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom. Both looked longingly at Splash Mountain, but I believe neither met the height requirement then.

At Animal Kingdom they enjoyed Tough to be a Bug, Tarzan, and Lion King shows (Lion King is very good), plus the safari ride and looking at all the animals.

MGM has several stage shows that kids enjoy, plus the Muppets show. Never tried taking kids that young to Epcot.

Try looking at the disney boards such as http://allearsnet.com/ and you should get some good info.

Remember: sunscreen and comfortable shoes are a must. Have fun!

Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribbean.

My favorite will forever be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...at night. Life doesn't get better than that.

But 6 yr. old girls are all about the Princess Breakfast (or Lunch). My daughter absolutely loved Spaceship Earth (go figure) at that age - we had to ride it three times in a row. She also loved buying a fan (about $5) at the China pavillion in Epcot and having her name written on it in Chinese. She did not love the Haunted Mansion. For the first time in her life, she realized that cat teeth look like Vampire teeth. Obviously, our fat, lazy cat --- the one with the very dangerous name of "Mama Kitty" is a vampire and presented a real threat to the safety and well-being of the family. We figured it was pointless to deny the obvious fact that the cat is a vampire and just assured her that, if Mama Kitty hadn't attacked the family yet, she wasn't likely to in the near future. And this is our thrill seeking child...the one who loved Space Mountain and Tower of Terror.

Oh - our daughter also totally loved the Candy artist in the Japan pavillion at Epcot. We got there early and stood near the cart - our daughter got to pick an animal and a color and the candy artist made a lollipop in that shape and gave it to her.

Nothing makes me feel the "magic" more than the electric light parade in the evening at the Magic Kingdom!

Disney MGM - the Beauty & Beast show, Muppets show, Little Mermaid show, she may not be tall enough for Rockin Roller Coaster but Probably can ride with parent on Tower of Terror - the elevator car you sit in goes up and down fast. Epcot - World of Energy, performers from different countries doing sidewalk shows - I also love the Japanese candy artist - ge there early and have your child watch attentively, she might get one given to her. Fantasmic light show. The Lego store at Downtown Disney. I love Splash Mountain and your child can ride accompanied by an adult. Pirates of the Caribbean and the Enchanted Tiki Room! HAVE FUN!

At the Magic Kingdom my favourites are: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Also the evening parade and fireworks.

In the Animal Kingdom the Kilimanjaro Safaris (ride twice first thing in the morning),and at MGM definitely see Fantasmic and go on the Tower of Terror (in my opinion much better than the Rockn Roller Coaster which is only about a minute long)!

A warning: Fantasmic is absolutely AMAZING. But it can be really scary and intense for a 6 year old. I would definately prep the girls - "Mickey lets his imagination get the best of him and he scares himself silly with Disney villains but none of it is real" etc.

In the Animal Kingdom Park, you must, must, MUST go see the Festival of the Lion King Show. I was at WDW for a seminar and I had to be carried kicking and screaming to see the show :(( (Too hot, too tired, too wet - it was pouring - I didn't want to go). I'm SO glad they made me see it. It was spectacular, great floats, wonderful music, fabulous acrobatics and dancing. The kids (and you) will love it.

MM, there's one in every group isn't there!

The girls will love the new interactive exhibit in the Living Seas at EPCOT where they can talk to the turtle from Finding Nemo (Splash I think it's name is but I could be wrong). Mickey's Philharmagic in the MK, the safari ride in AK and the Muppet 3d movie in MGM are all hits...

All mentioned are good, but I second It's Tough to Be A Bug.

Yes, definitely It's Tough to be a Bug at the Animal Kingdom. Also while you're there, don't miss the Lion King show.

I love Buzz Lightyear and so do my girls - I think they were about 3 and 7 when they first went on it. Now are 9 and 12 and are looking forward to it on our trip in 2 weeks. Also big hits are Splash Mountain, the merry go round, Indy Speedway because you get to "drive" your own car, Peter Pan's Flight, and the playgrounds in MGM (Honey I Shrunk the Kids) and Animal Kingdom (Boneyard).

Of course they love the pool most of all.
