To buckeyemom,

Thanks for the complement ;;)

DH and I have gone to RV shows where they have those $800,000 motorhomes. You need to make an appointment to see them!!!! We have seen $400,000 ones and they look like minature mansions with their corian counters, tile floors, leather couches, stainglass cabinets.

I'm happy with my little old Winnebago, the one that is pictures at my website.

I'm with Suz: hate fast food and never eat it. The thought of hot, greasy "food" (if you can call it that) on a hot summer day is particularly revolting. We bring a cooler and have picnics, no eating and driving either.

P.S. Suzie, do you live in Sacratomato? (i.e. Sacramento)?

I think it's mostly a WI franchise, but Culver's rocks.

Buckeyemom, did you slap her across the face for her inappropriate behavior?

buckeyemom Jun 24th, 2003 07:27 AM

Nah, Brooklyn I didn't want to break a nail.

We typically eat at Subway or we bring a sub from Publix along with us. If anyone has a Publix grocery store chain near them, they know that Publix subs are the best. YUM! Hubby can't eat a sub and drive so we eat quickly in the store or if we brought food, we pull over at a gas station and get a drink and eat then head off again.

My vote is for Culvers, too! They are expanding quickly from Wisconsin throughout the midwest. I have never had a rude server and nothing but really good fast food. Give me a butter burger and some freshly made custard!

For a change from burgers and chicken strips, I enjoy Fazoli's (fast Italian food).

Utahtea, agree with you about cooking your own meals while in the RV. We flew in and rented an RV in Alaska. I bought $150 worth of groceries (not junk food) and after 10 days, I had food left over. Saved a LOT of money and it tasted better.

Have you ever camped on top of Beartooth Hwy? Great experience!

Connie,

No we didn't camp up there but we had a fantastic view for breakfast!

In response to goldenstateman, not exactly sacratomato a bit to the east. Lived there awhile in the mid 80s but couldn't see raising the chillins there.
