Farmers Market

We went to the Farmers Market today for the first time. Was that a blast of fun! It was so hard deciding what to eat - everyone's food look so delicious! Of course the bakery selection was just as hard to choose. Sure was fun, but I do wish they had more fresh fruits and veggies to buy since it is a farmers Market!

Los Angeles?

yeah - where? There are lots and LOTS of farmers' markets in CA.

It is December; even in southern California you won't find that much fresh locally grown produce.

I read YK's trip report of Los Angeles, and went to the Farmers Market on Fairfax and 3rd. It has been there since 1934.

Elaine-

Thanks for the shout-out. What/Where did you end up eating? Yes, I agree it's more of a ready-to-eat food market than a produce market.

If you're looking for fresh fruits and veggies (and cheap!), you should check out the Grand Central Market in downtown, which I also described in my trip report.

I love the old Farmers Market in Los Angeles. Just classic!

Me, too. And FWIW, the falafel is great! I don't remember the name of the "stand".
