Fantasy Fest
 

*Fun Couple* going to first Fantasy Fest and would like to know where to stay. We would like to be within walking distance of the action. We would enjoy a place where we can lounge around the pool or hot tub and meet other couples.

You are going to be hard pressed to find accomodations. Hotels book a year out for this especially those close to the action. You might find something in the upper Keys.

As long as you book something in Old Town, you'll be close to the action. Go to keywest.com and look under accommodations. As the previous poster said, though, things book early so you should probably try and find something very soon.

should be no problem finding a B&B to stay at. check out Discover Key West (key-west.com), places to stay. would suggest place in old town north of Truman Ave (even better north of Southard St). most have breakfest in morning/cocktail hours in evening. <BR>personally stay at the curry mansion inn on Caroline st half block from Duval. have met people there during Fantasy Fest who booked rooms weeks before not knowing Fantasy Fest was on. this oct. will be 12th trip for us to Key West, 6th Fantasy Fest. we stay from wednesday before the final saturday nite parade until the next wed. the thurs/fri/saturday are the biggest party nites, then can relax sunday thur wednesday-really quiet those days. also, have found it is cheapest to travel wed. to wed. if flying in. got lots of other info if you need it.

There is a lot of good information about Fantasy Fest on the board. Just do a search and you should find a good deal.
