Family Winter Vacation Help

Would appreciate any suggestions on where to vacation in March. Here's our info: 2 couples with 3 kids total, ages 6,5, and 18 mos. We'd like to try to stay east (we both live in SE) but would welcome any suggestions west or east. We'd like a nice resort with childrens activities that maybe offers skiing (for beginners also), snowmobiling, tubing, ice skating, etc, etc. basically a variety of winter activities. Thanks alot!

For skiing, I've heard that Smuggler's Notch in VT is a great place for families. Stowe is a great place too-- a little more "happening" than Smuggs--Stowe has more dining/Shopping/nightlife options. In addition to Stowe Mountain Resort (skiing) there are plenty of other recreational activities such as xcountry skiiing, snowmobiling etc. Do a search in Yahoo or another search engine for Stowe and Smuggs and you should get some good info websites to go to. Have fun!

look no further!!! go go go to Woodloch Pines in the poconos. totally topnotch service, great activities, decent food for adults, very kids oriented. we went in feb for a "red mitten weekend" which had family winter olympics that were a riot. we were an extended family group ranging in age from 3 to 60, and all of us loved it for what it was, a fun weekend with the whole family together.. we stayed in the springs section in the houses and loved them
they are on the web if you want to see the site.
or post back for more info.
Great!! I'll check out both places in Vermont and Poconos! We love the New England area, but haven't tried Vermont yet, or New England in winter. Is it wickedly cold in March (we're from Florida)?

i think it's
woodlochpines.com

but if not, do a yahoo search on it, it will come up easily. the spelling is odd, but the way i have it spelled is correct.
